Mr. Torres is the Director of Portfolio Finance at Savanna, where his responsibilities include valuations, operations and finance. Prior to joining Savanna in 2020, he worked in USAA Real Estate’s Multifamily Development Group and subsequently Portfolio Analytics Group. At USAA Real Estate, Mr. Torres was responsible for underwriting and conducting due diligence on joint venture equity investments in Class A Multifamily, Senior Housing, and Mixed-Use developments in primary cities across the United States. In the analytics group, Mr. Torres was responsible for the performance measuring and fund administration of 9 funds and separately managed accounts. Prior to USAA Real Estate, Mr. Torres served 8 years in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Captain, with multiple deployments across the CENTCOM Area of Operations. Mr. Torres received a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA with a concentration in Real Estate Finance and Development from Columbia Business School.
